Techniques available
- SEM with EDS (Thermo Fisher Phenom XL) – delivers ultra-high-resolution 2D imaging down to 10 nm, providing detailed insights into material microstructures and failure mechanisms.elemental composition.
- 3D X-ray Micro-CT (Bruker X4 POSEIDON) – Non-destructive 3D internal and surface inspection of both materials and life science related samplesparts, providing both vizualisation and quantitative data such as voids, defects, porosity mapping, CAD designs and analysis of failure mechanisms.
- micro-XRF (Bruker M4 TORNADO PLUS) – Quantitative elemental maps at down to ~20 µm spatial resolution for alloy homogeneity, mineralogy or coating thickness.
