Lund Nano Lab

Lund Nano Lab (LNL) is now the very proud owner of a brand new state-of-the-art Bruker D8 Discover X-ray Diffraction System (XRD).
Some of its many features include a large area detector, a non-coplanar detector arm, an Eulerian cradle and advanced X-ray optics for a number of different types of samples and measurements. This advanced, versatile and user-friendly XRD-system will significantly enhance the capabilities at LNL and add great value to NanoLund researchers and LNL’s start up community for many years to come.

Geological Survey of Finland

The Geological Survey of Finland officially opened its new scanning micro-XRF mineral analyser facility in October 2021.

UPM Biorefining

UPM Biorefining produce renewable wood-based diesel and naphtha at a biorefinery in Lappeenranta, Southeast Finland. Senior researcher Dr. Andrea Gutierrez uses a Bruker S8 TIGER in their Biofuels Development division.
Their application involves characterising the oil and aqueous phases from various processes across different scales. The decision to choose BlueScientific was largely influenced by several years of successful collaboration our team. After installation of the instrument, the service and support was meticulously planned, with all questions from the BlueScientific technicians and researchers thoroughly addressed. So far, UPM Biorefining have needed to reach out to the technical service a few times, but the prompt response ensured the instrument remained operational, allowing them to continue obtaining reliable data for process monitoring.
