The only truly portable industrial mapping system.

The Bruker ELIO is a compact, portable energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer for elemental analysis. It is non-contact and non-destructive, and therefore ideal for works of art and historical or valuable objects.
The only truly portable industrial mapping system.
No contact is made with the sample.
Ppm level detection.
ELIO is designed for use by conservation scientists in museums, research institutes and universities for analysing artwork, cultural and historical artefacts. Determine the material, chemical and technical aspects of cultural objects for preservation and research purposes.
Generate qualitative, semi-quantitative, comparative and elemental distribution maps from a wide range of types of materials, which can reveal hidden details.
ELIO is the only truly portable industrial mapping system. The measurement head is mounted on a lightweight aluminum tripod and weighs just 2.1 kg. Various tripods are available, as well as a motorised XY stage (optional) for maps up to to 10cm x 10cm.
You can perform both spot analysis and mapping, using the full energy range to detect both light and heavy elements. An image is stored for every pixel, so you can back-trace your data easily.
The software is easy to use, with features for image processing. Elemental maps can be overlaid with an optical image for your reference. Before starting the analysis, the estimated completion time is displayed for you.
The 1 mm spot size gives you high resolution with a level of detail ideal for the feature size of works of art and historical documents.
There’s an integrated microscope camera, and you can also connect two video cameras. LEDs illuminate the sample, with alignment lasers to help with positioning and identifying the measurement point. These also ensure a safe distance is maintained between the sample and the measurement head.
