Renishaw Virsa Raman Analyser
The Renishaw Virsa Raman Analyser is a versatile, fibre-optic-coupled Raman spectroscopy system with probes for remote analysis. Five metres of cabling is included as standard (longer cables available on request).
This enables you to analyse a whole new range of samples outside the microscope, and even outside your lab.
Compact and Transportable
The Virsa Raman Analyser can be used as a benchtop instrument. It can also be mounted in an industry standard 19” rack, which gives you the option of transporting the system for use in different environments. This makes it the first portable instrument in Renishaw’s Raman range.
Customise the platform to suit your research with various options:
- Spectrometer with one or two internal lasers; The dual excitation option enables you to avoid fluorescence by switching between wavelengths at the touch of a button.
- Video fibre probes – with options for general and bulk sampling and/or high spatial resolution confocal measurements.
- Renishaw probes can be used separately or stacked with a common objective lens. This enables simultaneous analyses at various laser wavelengths.
- Sampling options including a three-axis probe positioner, immersion probes and macro sampling kits.
The Virsa is also compatible with third-party probes, and can be integrated into third-party systems. This means you can analyse samples with two or more techniques at the same time, without having to transfer them between instruments.[testimonial author=”David Reece, Marketing Manager at Renishaw’s Spectroscopy Products Division”]Using our expertise of over 20 years designing and building high-performance Raman systems we have developed the Virsa Raman Analyser to expand the application of Raman beyond the traditional laboratory-based microscope systems. We see huge potential in the adoption of Raman in a wide range of diverse applications which will be enabled by the flexible nature of a fibre-based system.[/testimonial]
