Imaging Diverse Biological Specimens with TEM/STEM
The Electron Microscope Laboratory at UC Berkeley is a core electron microscopy facility with over 200 users each year. This lab was one of the sites that evaluated Gatan’s new Rio 9 CMOS camera (3k x 3k pixel resolution).
During the 3 month evaluation period, they used it to image a wide variety of biological specimens (both high and low contrast). The performance, image quality and ease of use of the camera were compared to other CCD cameras that had previously been used in the lab.
This webinar will present their conclusions, with examples of data collected from all types of biological samples in the UC Berkeley Electron Microscope Laboratory.
Speaker
- Danielle Jorgens Ph.D. – Director of the Electron Microscope Laboratory, University of California, Berkeley
