Bruker Micro-CT (XRM)

X-Ray Micro-CT instruments capture 3D images of your sample’s internal microstructure, with resolution down to the sub-micron level. Also known as X-Ray Microscopy (XRM), it is a non-destructive technique that combines micro-CT hardware with powerful software.

Applications include geology, additive manufacturing, composites and more.

Micro-CT (XRM) Products

SkyScan 1275

Automated, self-optimising and fast

The SkyScan 1275 is an automated, self- optimising desktop X-Ray micro-CT scanner. It’s easy to acquire high quality 3D X-ray micro-CT scans (also known as XRM / X-Ray Microscopy).

SkyScan 1272

High resolution with over 2600 slices in a single scan

The SkyScan 1272 is a desktop micro-CT scanner (3D X-ray microscope). A state-of- art 16 megapixel CMOS X-ray detector that delivers superior resolution.

SkyScan 1273

Benchtop scanner for large and heavy samples

The SkyScan 1273 is a benchtop 3D X-ray microscope for larger, heavier samples that could previously only be scanned using a substantial floor-standing system.

SkyScan 2214

Multiscale nano-CT with the widest range of object resolutions and sizes

The SkyScan 2214 is a multi-scale X-ray nanotomograph covering the widest range of object sizes and spatial resolutions in a single instrument, opening up a whole new range of possibilities.

SkyScan 1276

Fast, desktop in vivo micro-CT scanner

The SkyScan 1276 is a fast, desktop in vivo micro-CT scanner for small laboratory animals (e.g. mice and rats) and biological samples. With micro-CT you can non-invasively scan any cross section through the body.

SkyScan 1278

The world’s fastest, low dose, in vivo microCT with a high resolution

The SkyScan 1278 is an XRM (X-Ray Microscopy aka micro-CT) system for in vivo imaging of small animals and studying physiological responses to disease and regenerative medicine. It’s the world’s fastest low dose, high resolution micro-CT.

About Bruker SkyScan Micro-CT

Bruker is one of the worldwide leaders in analytical instruments, designing and manufacturing advanced research systems and easy-to-use benchtop solutions.

Micro computed tomography (micro-CT) is 3D X-ray imaging, sometimes also referred to as X-Ray Microscopy (XRM). It uses the same method as hospital CT scans, but on a sub-micron scale with dramatically increased resolution. It represents 3D microscopy, non-destructively imaging very fine scale internal structures of objects. A single scan images the complete internal structure of an object, with no sample preparation, staining or thin slicing.

With decades of experience, the research and development team at Bruker continually improve the quality of their SkyScan micro-CT instruments and methods, as well as creating new methods and techniques to be applied in future micro-CT scanners for 3D X-ray imaging.
