Renishaw Raman Spectroscopy
Renishaw is a leading supplier of Raman spectroscopy and metrology instruments in the Nordic region (Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark).
They are one of the world’s leading engineering and scientific technology companies, with expertise in precision measurement and healthcare. The company was established in 1973, with a foundation built on superior engineering that’s built to last. Their systems are used in a diverse range of applications, including jet engine and wind turbine manufacture, dentistry and brain surgery. The Renishaw Group currently has more than 70 offices in 35 countries, with around 4,000 employees worldwide. The majority of their research and development and manufacturing takes place in the UK.
In the Raman spectroscopy division, a team of over 100 scientists and engineers specialise in the production of fully configurable Raman instruments.
Complementary Technology
As the official representative of Bruker’s Nano Surfaces division in the Nordic region, we are pleased to now offer complementary technology from Renishaw. The Bruker AFM range includes market-leading instruments, which integrate seamlessly with Renishaw’s Raman spectroscopy to deliver nanometre-scale chemical resolution, revealing new, complementary information.

Graphene flakes characterised by co-localized AFM and Raman spectroscopy. Bruker’s exclusive PeakForce QNM technology adds unambiguous information to the Raman maps, while high resolution PeakForce KPFM pinpoints origin of property variation as the most quantitative approach.
Reveal a Wealth of Information about your Sample
Take your material characterisation to a new level with new information about mechanical and electrical properties, chemical identification and structure. Both techniques are available from a single, combined instrument, so you can be sure that the exact same point is being analysed by both techniques. Save time and discover information about your sample that may otherwise remain unknown.

PeakForce QNM modulus image of a polystyrene/polypropylene structure (left), and Raman map of the same area (right, polystyrene in green, polypropylen in red). Variations in material properties correspond with chemical composition. The quantitative nanomechanical information in the modulus image serves as a higher resolution chemical map.
